I am Srikant Chakraborty, from Asansol, West Bengal. I am a late entrant in this sport and enjoying every bit of it.
I am an avid photographer and passionate about rock climbing, trekking and mountaineering.
I have completed Basic Mountaineering Course from Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling and will be joining the Advanced Mountaineering Course of HMI in October 2013.
I have participated in one mountaineering expedition so far- Stok Kangri Expedition- 2012 conducted by Mountain Lovers' Association, Asansol as a summit member. This year we intend to attempt Mt. Kalanag or Black Peak (6,387 mt) in the Bandarpunch Range of the Garhwal Himalayas.
Being a starter in this sport, I really hope to learn a lot from the fellow members of this forum.
I would like to thank the Admins for starting the forum. We needed this platform.
