Two ski mountaineers surpassed the 4 hours 19 second speed record for climbing and descending Mount Rainier. Andy and Jason Dorais took off from the Paradise parking lot, treading the icy slopes in mere 3 hours, 57 minutes and 55 seconds. They have set this record a couple of weeks following another pair of mountaineers which surpassed a previous record of erased the 4:50 records by clocking 4:19.
